Crazy Days...

Things have been absolutely crazy here lately. We did finally get all of our fruit trees planted and they seem to be doing pretty well. Our vegetable garden has not been as lucky...weather and previous obligations has kept us from getting that done. Now our little "farm" has grown since my husband returned, we now have a calf and two little piggies (well they were little when we got them, they are growing so fast)! I am working on a new computer so pics will have to come later after I figure out how to master this machine! Trying to get the hang of Vista I am so used to XP. We are also tearing down multiple buildings for somebody and in exchange he is letting us keep most of the materials...it's a great deal for us but has had it's drawbacks. We have already made a trip to the ER for stitches, opened up the good old first aid kit way too many times to count, and the battle against ticks has made me think they should come up with a tick collar for humans! I did get to use the sledgehammer though:) More crazy days to come, work still isn't done....

Yes they are nasty little things!! They hurt sometimes if they are attached, but the scary part is most of the time you don't know they are on you. We've had to check each other. Even if you've only found one, you still feel like they are crawling all over you. I'm still not used to living out in the country and the ticks are bad this year..yuck! Thank god my yard isn't as bad as this person's is.
